Joan Costalotsa

Joan (John Adelard Cardinal) was so much more than a gifted artist or an incredible chef — she was a huge part of the heart and soul of Club 200.

Through her work in the kitchen with Club 200 and Big Deal Catering, Joan helped build something special. Her food brought people together, but it was her presence — her humour, her care, and the way she showed up for people — that truly made the difference. She wasn't just part of the team. She was part of the foundation of what this place became.

Joan shared her life with her husband, Don Froese, whom she married right here at Club 200. Their story is part of this space — woven into its history, its memories, and the people who have passed through it. Don passed shortly before Joan, and they are remembered together with love.

There are pieces of them all over this place — in the kitchen and on the stage, in the laughter, the memories, and the moments that made this community what it is. Their impact didn't leave with them. It's still here, in ways both big and small.

Joan will always be remembered with love, gratitude, and respect — not just for what she did, but for who she was.

She will always be part of Club 200.
